Get a dream; Believe in it; it will do the rest for you.
For once I feel the title is enough to say what I want to, but I love to talk so I will. So, here I am writing. It is so important to confront ourselves on about who we are. Believing in ourselves that we can be anyone we want to, with what we have in our armor. Many a times we won’t even have the armor but to accept that we can fight our journey to a dignified life. When I was a kid, I would question everything. I firmly believed I was trash and I became trash. Then I had a dream, it would run in my mind day and night my heart would long for it but I had no courage to confront that dream, believe in it and achieve it as I believed myself to be unworthy.
One thing about dream is that it is a stubborn seed and it will grow to become a beautiful tree even in a desert. It doesn’t mind if you don’t water or nurture it, the dream won’t mind. Even if you give up on it, it will not give up on you. A dream is the best thing that can happen to anyone. It becomes the guiding light in the journey of life.
Once it happens the believe seeps in. Yesterday, I happen to see an animation film Kung Fu Panda. Where the fat Panda is chosen to be a Dragon warrior, to his disbelief and others. How can a fat panda be a dragon warrior who can’t even catch his breath when he is walking up the stairs.stairs? But the point was that he was chosen, he had passion for Kung Fu. With the passion and love for the art he learnt it with time and when he was handed the dragon scroll containing unlimited knowledge only meant for the warrior. He found it to be blank. On introspection, he realized there is no secret ingredient for greatness, you just have to believe. And when he believed, he became the invincible Dragon Warrior.
It’s basic you need to believe you are what you want to be. As in any sport once the player gets a feeling that he is going to lose he loses. So, It is important to be firm in your believe. In the believing business believing in yourselfyou is the first step. No matter what you lack you can do whatever you believe in. Just give in the time for the seed to take shape of the tree. I once couldn’t speak in front of anyone even those I knew but with the believe belief that I am not a tortoise but a lion made me realize I can, and I did, which made me a certified dreamer. Now, I just believe I can and I do. Don’t give space for doubt. You may have million of friends but your enemy is only one and that is you because unless you let, no one has the access.
One thing I want to add I have seen people who are taking support from their parents. There one point agenda is how to be on their ownindependent and sometimes what you want to achieve will be hard to get, just work on that, if you have support utilize it. Don’t keep thinking how you can free your folks rather think how you can achieve what is in your mind . Keep working because if you focus on freeing yourself you will entangle yourself more. I speak by experience till I wanted to be on my own I would have to face the embarrassment of taking support again and again. When I accepted the support and believed fine lets work. I was on my own soon. Free.
I read somewhere that the mantra for life follow three P’s - be prepared, be punctual, be polite.
If all this is to preachy then man just chuck it. Do just this: don’t give up on your dream as for living there has to be the passion of a dream. As without passion you are better dead than alive.
If you have a dream!!! Good. If you don’t have, find something. I assure there will be one waiting to be discovered. So, let your heart lead you because I am where my heart is nowhere else. Listen to the heart as it is never wrong. Never.
