Hi,
I wanted to start my blog for a long time and I had created this space with the help of my friend Sujit. The 1st blog and the profile are created by him and i will leave them as they are, he is really a sweet guy now I don't want to get into too much dostana discussing my straight friend as he might lose his gGIRL FRIEND. By the way i am straight too.
I know i try too hard to make people laugh but i have to accept that i don't have great sense of humour as my friends Sujit and Mamun often tell me.
Today I saw Aradhana and as soon as the film completed i knew discussing about it will be my first blog for (LTRW).
Aradhana is about a young girl Vandana who falls in love with Flight Lt. Arun and how she worships him even after his death and fights with the world to complete his dream (he wanted his son to also become a Flight Lt.).
I will like to give you guys a short synopsis of the film produced & directed by Shakti Samanta. This man has been responsible for many of the films that got Super Startom for Rajesh Khanna that he enjoyed in the late 60's and early 70's.
The film starts with Vandana being sentenced to life imprisonment for a murder. Where she remembers her early days and the film starts with the beautiful toy train song Sapno Ki Rani kab aayegi tu........ After few meetings Arun and Vinu(as her love calls her) fall in love everyone is happy Vinu's Dad is most happy as he has got a son in law he could dream of. One day while arun and Vinu go to the temple the priest suggests that they get married in front of god(lord Shiva) not like total band bajaa type but just by taking god's blessings and exchanging garlands. as they are returning they get stuck in heavy rain and are forced to take a hotel and nite stay where they lose control and here we have one of the classic songs of S.D.Burman 'roop tera mastana in the voice of Kishore da. It bowls you. after this the next morning Vinu feels guilty as they are not married in front of society but Arun convinces her and says they will marry soona as he is going home and will bring his Uncle to talk to her Dad and they'll marry soon but fate fate had something else for them in store. Arun dies in a plane crash and at the last moment makes Vandana promise.
This was one hour of the film.
Now facing a lot of difficulty losing her dad who could not bear her daughter's pain dies gradually. Now when Vanadana gives birth to Arun's son Suraj that is the name suggested by Arun. The nurse advises her to keep the kid at a Orphanage and take it tomorrow as a legal child. Then no one will be able to call Suraj a child without a legal father or a son without wedlock as Vinu can adopt a child and it would be convenient for vinu too but had something else for Vinu here too. She loses her child to a desperate father whose wife gave birth to a dead child 3rd time and will not be able to bear this news. When she goes to the father he convinces our vinu to stay with them and care for her child as it will be best for her as well as the child. She will also be able to fulfill Arun's dream as it is not easy for a single mother to bring up a child in this big world.
she is able to adjust and their life is running smoothly till the day mama comes and tries to woo her but when he fails tries to rape her but Suraj comes on time and while saving his mother suraj accidently kills his mama and Vandana takes the whole blame on herself and we see now Vinu in the prsent stage . contd......................
